Grand Opera Apartment - the beginning of the refurbishment
Finally, the refurbishment in the Grand Opera Apartment Budapest has started. Some of the walls have already been removed and the entire floor is being replaced. Here a few pictures of what the apartment looked like before the start of the refurbishment and how it looks like now....lots of dust at the moment. Hope to be able to report with lots of pictures about the progress.

First plans for the Grand Opera Apartment
In our last post we announced the big news...we are adding 2 new apartments to the Apartments in Budapest family.
Today we can already present the first plans for the Grand Opera Apartment in Hajós street. This is a large, 97 m2 apartment in the same buidling as one of our existing apartments the Opera Apartment.
It will feautre 3 bedrooms and a very large open plan living room/kitchen/diner. One of the bedrooms will have a very cool and romantic open bathroom. Can't wait for the works to start later this month.

Apartments in Budapest is proud to announce....
...that we are adding 2 more apartments to our family.
We started with 1 apartment in 2010, the Andrassy 2 Apartment which we refurbished to a very high standard. The interest was overwhelming and so we added 2 more apartments in 2011, the Opera Apartment in Hajós street and the Opera Studio Apartment, just behind the Opera House in Lázár street.
First of all thank you to all our lovely guests, who came to visit Budapest and stayed in our apartments. From their comments we know that we are on the right track and this gives us confidence to go on and continue.
The Two New Apartments
Andrassy 4 Apartment
So apartment #4 is also on Andrassy Avenue, in fact it is in the next building to our existing apartment, Andrassy 2 Apartment, in building no. 4. - so we are going to call it Andrassy 4 Apartment. It is 93 m2 (1001 square feet), so quite a bit bigger than our existing apartments. We are going to start the refurbishment very soon and hope to finish it before the beginning of June. Here the original plan and our very first take on what we would like to do with it. Any thought or ideas are very welcome.

Apartment #5 is in the same building as our Opera Apartment in Hajós street. This is great, because we will be able to cater for larger groups or families, who prefer to stay in the same building, but in separate apartments. This is also a larger apartment with 97 m2 (1044 square feet), so we called it Grand Opera Apartment. We are just starting with the refurbishment here too and it would be great if both apartments could be finished together before the beginning of June.
